Hillcrest FSM-9
 

Hi,

Anyone done a plugin for the Hillcrest FSM-9 head tracker for vizard? I'd like to use this tracker as I already have it but would like to avoid writing my own plug-in if it already exists.

Here's a plug-in for people to try. I see a bit of stutter and I'm not yet sure why. I'm grabbing data as fast as possible from the FSM-9 at approx. 100Hz and then the plug-in updates at the frame rate of 60Hz. The grabbing of tracker data happens in it's own thread. I guess it's possible they occasionally bump into each other. A bit disappointing.

If anyone else can try it and let me know if they see the same thing, I'd much appreciate it.

Adjusting the filter settings can remove most of the stutter. I'll post a more fully featured version of the plug in soon so all the tracker parameters can be tweaked.

Here's one running at 250Hz with little to no stutter.
