3d Scan Inport

Im working on a project where I need to import geometry or point cloud data from real world sources. Im thinking about using reconstruct me, 123D catch, or some other 3d scanning software. Ive tried to import some test scans but they always show up completely black in vizard and I can't use the data at all. Ive tried several file formats but no results. Ive done my conversions in meshlab and the geometry and textures show up fine there. I dont know what Im doing wrong. Any advice?

What format(s) have you tried importing into Vizard? If you're not seeing anything at all perhaps it's a scale issue. Have you tried opening the model in Inspector?

Formats

Ive tried obj, wrl, and fbx. No luck so far. How do I open them in inspector?

If the file is text based and in x,y,z or x,y,z,r,g,b, format, try renaming the extension to .3dc and then loading it in Inspector or Vizard.
