UnrealEd as a developement tool

I've found a converter which claims to be able to convert levels from Unreal Tournament into VRML/X3D files. I've got a fair bit of experience with the UT level editor, so if I can make this work it will save me a lot of work in building virtual worlds for the lab. But I've downloaded the demo converted worlds and when I try to load the .py files into Vizard it tells me that there's an error loading them. The same files seem to work fine in 3D viewers such as CosmoPlayer. I realize this is kind of a far-out-there 3rd party software problem, but if someone has an idea on how I need to load these to make them work I'd really appreciate it.

The converter and demo files can be found here:

What error is Vizard telling you? I tried a couple of the samples: some worked and some did not. Also, verify that you are converting to VRML97.

This may not be so out there and might have a lot of interest by others. I'll try the converter. Any tips in using it. Also, it might be useful if you emailed us your problem files and we might then be able to quickly tell you what's happening.

Email to support@worldviz.com, please.

Ok, so the first problem is solved in that I hadn't realized that the converted files needed to be converted to VRML97. I'm now using this: http://ovrt.nist.gov/v2_x3d.html
As a result I no longer get a little error box that simply says "(filename) failed to load". Now when I attempt to load any of the converted files the cursor changes into the loading icon and stays that way (I waited several minutes with the three files I tried before force-quitting Vizard). I'll send those files to support@worldviz.com

As for using the UnrealEd-to-X3D converter, I haven't actually used it yet. For right now I'm just trying to get the sample files to run in Vizard so I can make sure its possible.
