You can apply the video to a sphere with normals pointing inwards. Here's an example:
Code:
import viz import vizshape viz.go() video = viz.addVideo('sphericalVideo.mp4') sphere = vizshape.addSphere(flipFaces=True) sphere.texture(video) #Play and loop the video video.play() video.loop() #Make sure sphere appears at infinite distance #This allows other objects to be rendered in front sphere.disable(viz.DEPTH_TEST) sphere.drawOrder(-100) #Keep sphere centered around main view viz.link(viz.MainView,sphere,mask=viz.LINK_POS) #Setup a panorama camera navigation import vizcam vizcam.PanoramaNavigate() |

360 video not playing
Hi,
I tried to get a 360 video to play using the script provided, but all I see is a grey background. Are there some potential things I could take into consideration? Thank you! |

You may not have global codecs for the video type you are playing. Some applications like Windows Media Player have built-in codecs while Vizard relies on global codecs.
