Hi guys, I'm trying to get my BenQ to display in 3d using 3D link, and i'm not having any luck.

The projector supports 60Hz Top-Bottom 3D for resolutions up to SXGA+.
http://www.benq.us/product/projector/MW870UST

Enabling viz.STEREO_3DTV_TOP_AND_BOTTOM produced two vertical stacked images. My assumption is that this means the projector is not correctly parsing the images according to the DLP-Link format, despite the fact that the project has "3D Sync" enabled.

There is very little info out there on the topic, so any help is appreciated.

To anticipate: I can't use NVidia Vision. Although I'm using a compatible NViDA GTX 690, the projector lacks the necessary dual link DVI-I in.

If you've set the correct stereo output in Vizard, then you might check with the projector manufacturer's support to verify the stereo inputs it accepts and how to configure that.

Problem solved, thanks to the persistence of a wily grad student and a lengthy back and forth with Jeff. Thanks again, Jeff! You're always a huge help.

To those having similar issues:

It turns out that our projector's listed specs were inaccurate, and it did not accept a listed 3D format. This is BenQ's fault. So, we abandoned the use of DLPLink on our Geforce card, and instead got things to work using a Quadro card using the Quad_Buffer option.

Just FYI, to enable quad buffering, we had to go into nVidia control panel and enable stereo mode for "winviz.exe" and not "Vizard.exe".

Info. summary in case anybody runs into the same trouble:

1. BenQ MW870UST 3D DLP link projector.
**Set at a resolution supporting 120Hz.**

2. Generic active shutter glasses.

3. nVidia Quadro 4000

4. Vizard 5 32 bit
i. Run and close application once to register with "nVidia Control Panel" automatically.
ii. If "winviz.exe" does not automatically populate itself on "nVidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings",
click on add and navigate to Vizard's installation directory and select "winviz.exe".
iii. Enable stereo mode for "winviz.exe".

5. Run code with the "viz.QUAD_BUFFER" flag.
