Hi,
I've plugged a video game gun into the sound card and I'm trying to use the trigger in Vizard. In the past, we've used sid.trigger(). However, this isn't working on the new computer. Any ideas?

Hi,

Do any of the other sid commands work? Try out the joystick example and make sure that works. It's a script called joystick.py in the [Vizard20]/examples/input directory.

Hey-
I know it's months later, but I'm having the same problem on another new computer. I tried the joystick program and it doesn't work with my gun. The gun is plugged into the port on the sound card. I tried plugging a joystick into one of the usb ports and the joystick program works with that. Any ideas to get the gun working?
Thanks,
Cade

Hi,

Does Windows recognize the joystick? Go to the Control Panel and click on Game Controllers. If the joystick is not recognized there then Vizard won't recognize it either.
